Niklas Kopp · Head of Technology & Innovation at MOLEQLAR Analytics

I turn complex health datainto secure, useful products.

I love turning complex science and technology into systems that work in the real world. At MOLEQLAR Analytics I lead data science, cloud infrastructure, product engineering, security and biotech analytics with one goal: solve the details, keep the bigger picture in view and build for the long run.

01 / Science & technology

From biological data to a product people can trust.

Biotechnology needs more than a good model. I build the complete path from data integrity and analytical workflows to cloud pipelines, lab tools, reports and user-facing products. Every part has to work together and stay reliable over the long run.

My daily workMOLEQLAR Analytics

Together we are building toward a reliable health ecosystem for everyday use: scientifically grounded longevity, advanced diagnostic proteomics and actionable guidance for lifestyle, wellness and health decisions.

LC–MS & proteomics

Built and operated reliable proteomics pipelines from data preparation and AWS processing to analytical models, lab-facing tools and reports. Earlier research includes “A novel method for deep-learning classification of LC–MS MS1 data” and precursor-charge prediction.

Platforms & delivery

Led a team building React and React Native products for web, iOS and Android. Launched them through the Apple App Store and Google Play then designed the report experience and generation pipeline from scratch.

Security & governance

Led operational implementation and audit readiness for the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification process. Connected infrastructure, access control, secure development and governance in one transparent ISMS.

02 / Responsibility over time

The roles changed. The responsibility accumulated.

Each stage added another layer to how I work today. Entrepreneurship built ownership. Enterprise IT added scale. Bioinformatics and AI deepened the science. Leadership brought the whole system together.

Head of Technology & Innovation: leading the people, platforms and decisions that connect science with dependable products.

Perspective / the day turns

And then the light changes.

The same instinct shapes my technical work and the way I look at the world: notice the detail, understand the larger pattern and design for the long run. That is how I find solutions that are efficient, resilient and worth using.

03 / The Light

Curiosity does not stop at the desk.

Photography, visual art, music, game systems and algorithm design sharpen my sense for composition, rhythm, feedback and atmosphere. They all ask the same question in a different medium: what is the simple structure that makes something complex feel clear and alive?

04 / Craft

I make things because I love making them.

A guitar string, an image, a game rule or an algorithm can all be tuned. That mix of curiosity and perfectionism is where I feel at home.

Systems you can feel

Rules, feedback loops and small adjustments turn complexity into something clear and alive.

05 / Together

Good things happen when people show up.

At Round Table 219 Starnberg I get to combine friendship, ideas and hands-on work. We organise, build, collect, run, cook and connect people. Doing good is allowed to be joyful and worth talking about.

A second life for good technology.

On 11 June 2024, Round Table 219 Starnberg and the Starnberg District Office handed over another package of 40 prepared laptops to youth services. The devices were part of more than 200 computers donated by EOS GmbH in Munich. Further packages supported organisations including Münchner Tafel e.V. Good hardware got a second life where it could make a real difference.

What the table does

Some projects are large. Others begin with a stand, a boat or a few people who simply say: let us do it. Here are a few things we have brought to life together:

  • Paper boat race at Lake Starnberg

Together with Kreisjugendring Starnberg, Eltern-Kind-Programm e.V. and Wasserwacht Starnberg we brought the race to life along the lakeside promenade. We entered our own boat and made it into Süddeutsche Zeitung. At our stand we served refreshments and candy floss with the proceeds going to Eltern-Kind-Programm.

  • Christmas package convoy

Every December we collect and pack gifts for the Christmas package convoy. Many small contributions become one shared journey that carries Christmas joy to where it means the most.

  • Eltern-Kind-Programm festival

Our stand brought people together and collected donations that went entirely to the programme. Local butchers, bakeries and other supporters helped make it possible.

  • District relay run

We enter the district relay as a team, meet people from across the region and make RT219 and our projects visible.

  • Clean district

We collect litter from playgrounds and along the lakeside promenade. Direct, uncomplicated and exactly where something gets left behind and the municipality cannot be everywhere at once.

  • And many more

The Christmas market, a Gastroquartett with Round Table Munich, joint projects with other tables and an art auction are only some of the things we have taken on. For me Round Table is friendship, initiative and the courage to make good things happen.
